doom and gloom

if the world ends tomorrow... i'll never have to pay another bill. i'll never have to clean the house. i'll never have to worry about losing the baby weight. i'll never have to work for the next paycheck. i'll never have another scary dream. but, if the world ends tomorrow... i'll never get to finish my novel. i'll never get to fly on an airplane. i'll never get to travel to another country. i'll never get to see my grandma again. i'll never get to try Old Chicago Pizza. i'll never know who would have won American Idol. (though i'll die knowing it should have been Haley.)] and, most importantly, i'll never get to see Stella grow up. So, come on, world. Don't end tomorrow.

i miss blogging on the regular

Oh, I've just been so busy, though... and I hate to just pop in for a quickie post. See, this whole writing for examiner.com thing takes up my lunch hour now. That time used to be reserved for blogging. Le sigh. I've sold you out for a paying gig. (Um, so far... it's not paying much. So don't get too excited.) Check me out, though. Today, I wrote about Birth Plans. And so far, my most popular article was about these quintuplets born in Louisville about a week ago. So, that's cool... but I miss you guys! *** Fear not! I will still shower you with lovespice. There's plenty of me to go around. (There's even more of me than there was before, thanks to all this pregnancy weight.) Let's see... here are some random updates. * When deleting spammy comments from my posts, I often think to myself "how ruuuude" a la Stephanie Tanner's Full House days. God, she was adorable before she bacame a crack whore. * It feels odd, but I am cur...

updatables

Vacationgate 2010 Hubs has decided to go with my family and me to Destin next month! (He says he told me that he "would go" on the day I told him I was pregnant, which was smack in the middle of Vacationgate, when hubs did not want to go... nor did he want me to go and stay in my parents' condo for free. If you'll recall, I was going to go regardless.) So, I booked our condo today. Instead of me going for free, hubs and I are both going and spending $749.00 for the condo alone. Hubs didn't want to be left out after all. But, you know. It's cool. This will be our last babyless vacation. Who needs new windows anyway? 2010 Reading Challenge May was a productive reading month. I've now read a total of 34 books this year. If I can read 16 books in the month of June, I'll be halfway to my goal of 100 books for this calendar year. Word. (Or, should I say... words?) WIP-Progess Still slim to none since learning I am "with child" eight-...

tuesday ten

I'm too far behind in my reader to write a proper post. (It just wouldn't be fair.) I'll give you a random Tuesday list instead, then I'll try to catch up and comment on a few of your blog posts, dearest readers. 1. Sometimes when I am out (for instance, eating at Macaroni Grill) I look at people's babies and I think "God, I hope mine turns out cuter than that one!" 2. The other night, I asked hubs to pour me some ice water so I wouldn't have to get off the couch. He was all, "I don't wanna get up either" so I told him I read somewhere that it makes the baby happy when he does things for me. He's all, "Did you read that on your blog?" I was all, "What? No!" He added, "Was that one of your facebook status updates?" "Uh, maybe... Just get me some damn agua!" (I think hubs knows about my blog! I just can't understand why he doesn't stalk it enough to claim the b.j. I promise...

brought to you by random.

oh, hell. it has been a monday. i can't even be bothered to use capital letters. No, that's annoying. I shall use capital letters afterall. I MIGHT EVEN USE THEM IN AN ENTIRE SENTENCE. (Insert PRIMAL SCREAM FULL OF EXPLETIVES here.) No, today wasn't that bad. Work is was just a stressfest. I had to cross out the "is" because I'm home now, so it's past tense. I shouldn't even be thinking about it anymore. So, I won't. Next topic: let's be honest. Since I'm at the end of my rapidly fraying Monday-rope, I will just tell you a few random Tidd-Murphy-bits about my day: 1. I almost rear-ended someone on my way home from work because I was thinking about my WIP. (Yay! I'm turning into a bonafide writer -- all distractedspice and dreamy acting and aloof. Abnormal.) (Opps. Are my writer-friends offended, or do you agree that we are all that way to some extent?) 2. I got really excited tonight when I stopped off at Target an...

TMI Thursday: in which I am too tired to hone in on one particular event

Grab your dinner plates: I've got a smorgasbord of overshare for you this evening. (Feel free to come back for seconds. It's all-you-can-eat over here tonight.) - Sometimes when I'm at a red light or stuck in stop-and-go traffic I examine my split ends and forget to pay attention to real life. Usually, horn honkers politely advise me when cars are moving again.  - I am almost always attracted to male authority figures, especially when they specifically have authority over me. - Also, sometimes when men say condescending things, it kind of turns me on. Is that weird? - I have uttered the following sentences and asked the following questions: a) I know it's wrong, but I judge. Wait, is it wrong to judge? b) Do you know what she smells like? She smells like poor people and tears. c) What is going on here? Power to the whites! (That was after Halle Berry won the Oscar, and clearly, I was joking.) - I once saved a condom wrapper -- I stuck it in my sock drawer ...
